The eagerly awaited Google Cloud VMware Engine service has been made public by Google. Customers will be able to use Google’s infrastructure to operate their current VMware-based setups. With the news, Google now competes with Microsoft and Amazon Web Services, two other hyperscale cloud providers, who each have their own full portfolios in the shape of Azure VMware Solution and VMware Cloud on AWS, respectively.
